How much does spraying UPVC windows cost?
What's the cost of spraying UPVC windows?
Spraying old, tired-looking white UPVC windows an exciting new colour to give it a modern look is increasingly popular nowadays, saving many thousands of pounds compared to replacement, and ‘How much does spraying UPVC windows cost?’ is probably the most frequently-asked question we get.
The biggest variable is obviously thenumber and size of the winows and doors that need spraying. Bigger house, more windows, more cost; it’s not rocket science.
Added to that is their accessibility, i.e. how easy is it for us to get at them. Apart from those two, that’s it!
But it also depends very much on who you choose to spray your kitchen. Most companies that will say they’ll do it in a day but some will take three.

Some spraying companies refuse to give any prices without seeing the property, and we would insist on that also before confirming a price because of the accessibility factor mentioned above, but we have nothing to hide and are quite happy to give you a pricing guide before we come to see you. We don’t make it up on the spot when we see what type of car you’re driving. We think you’re entitled to at least a rough guide in advance.

Cost comparison of spraying UPVC windows & doors vs replacement
The cost for spraying a standard single double-glazed casement window (94cm x 160cm / 37″ x 63″) is £150. The cost of replacement would be roughly £500, giving you a saving of £350 on one window alone.
The cost of spraying a bathroom window, at £100, would save you £200 when compared to replacing it.
Bay windows are much larger and therefore cost more. Fortunately most houses only have one or two, at the front. The cost of spraying one is £250. The cost of replacing one is roughly double that of a double-glazed casement window, at around £1,000.
That’s an incredible saving of £750 on just one window!
The cost of spraying a UPVC standard-sized front door is £230.
Compare this with the cost of replacing one, at around £800 (inc. installation). That saving of £570 is making that luxury cruise around the Caribbean once Covid’s a dim and distant memory look more and more affordable!
How much does spraying UPVC windows & doors on the front of a house cost?
The costs shown in the following examples are for the front of the houses only, for two reasons. Firstly, some customers opt to only spray the front of their properties.
Secondly, the cost of spraying the rear of a house is often complicated by the presence of sliding patio doors and conservatories. Just the cost of spraying a UPVC conservatory alone is between £1,000 and £2,000. So when estimating the cost of spraying every UPVC window and door in the house, you’ll have to exercise a little imagination.
Having said that, the cost of spraying a terraced house would normally be between £800 and £1,200.
The cost of spraying a 3-bed semi would normally be between £1,000 and £1,500.
The cost of spraying a 4-bed detached would normally be between £1,400 and £2,000 (excluding conservatories).
Spraying UPVC windows and doors in a terraced house can be very inexpensive. The front of this house would cost just under £600
The cost of spraying this small semi is not much more than the terraced house in the previous example.
Unlike this property. most detached houses have a garage to be sprayed in the same colour scheme as the UPVC windows and doors.
The cost of spraying UPVC windows and doors on this property is more expensive than the previous example despite it having no garage, as the two downstairs windows are bays not casements, and it has the added cost of drainpipes and the front fascia.
